A background in physics and financial engineering, with expertise in quantitative finance and portfolio management.

Dr. Platania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a Master in Financial Engineering from City University of Hong Kong and a Master in Quantitative Finance from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha.
He earned his Ph.D. in Finance, summa cum laude, at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Finance at HEC Liège, and holds an HDR from Aix-Marseille University.
His doctoral work received the Accésit Doctoral Award from the Santander Financial Institute.

With over a decade of experience as an independent consultant and in freelance audit support for tax consulting and audit firms, he has in-depth knowledge of the Luxembourg financial centre and strong networks with local law, audit and consulting firms.
